Connect to ChatGPT

Set up OAuth once. ChatGPT will then authenticate requests automatically.

  1. Enable protection and copy the token

    In PC Agent, open Security, enable MCP access token, and select Copy token.

  2. Choose OAuth

    When creating the connector in ChatGPT, paste your existing MCP link. Choose OAuth as the authentication method.

  3. Select DCR

    In advanced settings, choose Dynamic Client Registration (DCR). Do not fill in Client ID or Client Secret manually. Method: none. Scope: mcp:tools. Turn OIDC off.

  4. Create and connect the connector

    Select Create, then Connect. The PC Agent authorization page will open.

  5. Paste the token on the PC Agent page

    Paste the copied token into PC Agent access token and select Connect. Authorization is complete when you return to ChatGPT. Do not paste this token into Client ID or Client Secret.

Additional protection is off by default. Without it, access depends only on the personal MCP link. After enabling it, reconfigure any existing connections that do not authenticate.
